I went to the beach today.
Too many layers of clothes to take off.
So I did not go for a swim.
What’s cold or warm is up to you, ha de Gött!

Cold and still weather covers everything in ice crystals.
Chill, ha de Gött!

This old sail ship has been a symbol and landmark in Göteborg since 1951. It has been moored basically in the same place since then. It was originally built 1906 in Copenhagen, Denmark as school ship for the Danish merchant fleet. It is the largest sail ship ever built in Scandinavia. She served in Denmark until 1928 and after that the four-masted beauty was sold to Åland. There she served as merchant and passenger ship before finally arriving to Göteborg in 1951. This time to once again serve as a school but without ever to set sail again. Today it is a hotel and restaurant.
Sail, sail away on the winds of hope. Ha de Gött!

First photo from 2024. The new year entered with a snowstorm from the north east. Not so much snow but cold, around -15°C down to -20°C for several days. Finally the weather was calm on Saturday and I got some pictures before my fingers and toes turned into icicles.
Hot socks and hot chocolate, ha de Gött!

See you around the bend, ha de Gött!

Can you photograph cold? Not cold things like ice and snow, but the actual cold. This is my attempt. I was driving around to scout for scenes to photograph and when I drove down a small icy road in the middle of the forest when this little valley opened. As the sun just made it over the tree tops, it created this inversion fog and the temperature dropped from -2°C to -15°C as I drove into it. Picture of cold, hmm. It was really cold to take the pictures anyway.
Keep your heart warm, ha de Gött!

A new year comes with new promises and challenges. What better way to celebrate than with Mother Natures own fireworks.
Look to the sky but keep your feet to the ground, ha de Gött!

It’s that time of year when you should close the books for the old year. This year I’ve picked one picture for each month instead of top ten. A bit unfair to some months that presented more photo opportunities than others. Anyway, here it is. Hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Happy Year End 2023, it was over with a click. Ha de Gött!
