Magic

Magic

It was just one of those nights. The still but cold spring evening. Bird song that filled the air. So silent that you can hear the buds pop and the grass grow. Sun kissing the tree tops in a gentle caution to the coming night cold. Stillness, just stillness.

Cherish the moment, ha de Gött!

Mark

Mark

The navigation mark ‘Vakupp’ in sunset. I left work early today to make time for some photos. Finally after several weeks of clear skies there were some clouds. Clouds just brings more life to a picture. Wind is picking up and I got that fantastic splash as a bonus.

Mark the way to the light, ha de Gött!

Still

Still

Sometimes it is just still, even if you’re not sure what is up or down.

The island Killingen in Sannäsfjorden a sunny day in March. Ripples on the surface caused by me sitting on the floating bridge.

Blue can be fantastic, ha de Gött!

Wake up

Wake up

Seagull flying past a navigation mark. In Swedish this type of navigation mark is called ‘Kummel’ and I struggled to find the English translation. Cairn is the closest I came up with. On the chart the mark is named ‘Vakupp’ that translates to, wake up or stay alert! Makes perfect sense, as you enter a dangerous area to navigate in. Due south is the lighthouse, one of my favorite motives, ‘Väcker’. With the same perfect logic this translates to, awakens!

Stay sharp, ha de Gött!
