The obliviousness book

The obliviousness book

Book full of forgotten
things un-remembered
issue release daily
thick as the book of what-if's
pocket size in constant use
some miss-use now and then
wear it on my shoulders
every chapter, dare a read
a highly dangerous deed
largest book in the library
that is my brain
the book of oblivion

My memory is good but short, ha de Gött!

Curious

Curious

They say that cows are dumb

but they are not

probably smarter than you and me

live a life so carefree

social, together in a flock

roaming calmly in pastures green

while the farmer collect the winter hay

curious, just like the cat

that camera, can it be eaten

will you scratch behind my ears

Stay curious, you will learn something. Ha de Gött!

Shipyard

Shipyard

Like many cities in Northern Europe the Danish city Helsingør has a history of ship building. These large shipyard areas are now under development for tourism and new businesses, very different from the noisy shipbuilding industry. I do think Helsingør does a good job developing and at the same time honour the hard working people in the shipyards. Makes me feel good as my own father was a welder at a shipyard in Göteborg, Sweden.

History is the mirror to the future, ha de Gött!

Other side of the other side

Other side of the other side

Some pictures from the other side of the other side, the East side Gallery. There are 105 wall paintings from different artist on this 1316 meters long remains of the Berlin wall. It was painted in 1990 on the east side as a celebration of the opening of the wall. Today it stand as an open air gallery with over 3 million visitors yearly.

If the east or west side was the front side of the wall I let everyone decide for themselves. I only know that a wall designed to separate people and families is never a good thing.

Translation for non German speakers on two of the paintings. “Don’t forget my love”, “The persistence of ignorance”.

Always check the other side, and be glad you can. Ha de Gött!

Driftwood

Driftwood

Driftwood on a stony beach at Trossö-Kalvö. Someone, somewhere cut it down and let it fall into the sea. Currents and winds brought it here to frame this picture. Did it come from just around the corner, the next island or did it float in here with the Golf Stream from distant shores. Only Njord knows.

Njord (Njǫrðr) is the sea god of the Nordic mythology.

Go with the flow and see where it takes you, ha de Gött!

Golden Evening

Golden Evening

Some evenings are just magical. Stillness and the spring evening sun warms up your frozen winter soul. With that light I’m glad I brought the camera. With the birds song in my ears I just don’t want to go home.

I just wish that I was a better poet to make this justice, please feel free to lend a helping hand.

Ha de Gött!
