Not only the water surface was blank, so was also the sky. Clear skies is the landscape photographers nightmare. After struggling with myself I decided that this picture work with the blank water surface sorrounded by the rocks.

I think this works well. The richness of the almost black blue of water at the bottom edge draws one in and creates wonderful depth. Sun on the golden cliffs the other side in shadow. Lovely!
