Swans

Swans

Slowly the trees changing for autumn color as shadows getting longer. The swan family gently and proud swims across the bay. This year three out of four chicks survived. A good year for this couple.

Swans famously mate for life even if “divorces” is not uncommon. They build their nest direct on the ground close to the water. Mr Swan is very equal, helps to build the nest and even broods the eggs. He is very protective and keeps a very close watch when I pass them to my boat.

Magic

Magic

Yesterday it was two years since we had the burial ceremony for my son. My sons piano teacher Christer, who is also a church musician, posted a video of my son Edvin when plays Claire de lune by Claude Debussy at age 15. So many times I’ve heard him practice this on the piano but he never allowed me to record it. Even if it was hard to see his fingers move across the keys these gems he left for us in his music somehow makes it easier to cope.

Imposter

Imposter

I envy the ones
that never seem to suffer
the imposter syndrome

walks tall, head held high
confident clapping steps
in smart suit corridors

slips away unruffled
casually brushing off
dandruff shoulders

hands never seen
shoulder deep in cookie jars
the real imposters
