Abandoned House

Abandoned House

There in at the edge of the forest. Alone and neglected. Lawn mower locked in the outhouse for many years. Bushes and trees running wild in the garden. Dry paint falling off, leaving the wood open to the forces of nature. In dire need of attention.

Found this yesterday and I think it looks good in Black & White. It is still salvageable. The chimney looks fine and there is electricity, but I doubt if someone pay the bill. There is also an outhouse that I wrote of yesterday. Ha de Gött!

Got to go

Got to go

You say I'm full of it
Now enough, I quit
Sat on my bench
Spread your stench
Flies buzzing around
You just making sound
Reading all the paper
Then reused it later
Now forever this is halted
By nature I am bolted

Today I came across an abandoned house and this outhouse. I just start to write and see where the words take me. Perhaps I need to see somebody… Got to go, ha de Gött!

Put there long ago
Sharp and cracked
Past and present frame
Ice braking up
Melting in the sun
Spring is coming
Jack Frost yields
But not without a fight

Buzzard

Buzzard

Soaring up high
Free in the sky
Detached from ground
Watching for prey
Elegantly upwind find
Scanning ground
Food or threat
Free or just hungry
Dinner chased away
I wish I could fly
She wish she could eat

This common buzzard (Buteo buteo) and its mate flies over me several times when walking in nature. To spite me they stay in the sun or behind trees so I can’t get a clear shot. This time I managed to get this okay shot of this fantastic bird.

Egg

Egg

The dragons egg. Hard boiled in the depths of mother Earth. Frozen and shaped by ice and water. Lifted up to be ornament over the food cellar.

What if it hatches. What would come out? A cute little dragon or dinosaur. Piping for its mum. What would it eat? Flies, birds and a moose.

Grow, and grow, and grow, and grow! Would it then, take you for a snack?

Bluebell

Today it was announced that the Small Bluebell (Campanula rotundifolia) was appointed to the floral emblem of Sweden. It has always been my favorite flower so I’m very pleased. It is also called Harebell or Bluebell of Scotland. Hope they don’t feel that we stole it from them. It blooms July to September. Twenty three years ago when I got married to my lovely (she reads the blog) wife, the entire church was decorated with Bluebells.

The picture was taken by me last summer on Killingen island. My son, who passed away seven months ago today, though I was going a bit to nerdy. He took the picture of me that you see below. Also I share a picture of the related Large Bluebell.
