Imposter

Imposter

I envy the ones
that never seem to suffer
the imposter syndrome

walks tall, head held high
confident clapping steps
in smart suit corridors

slips away unruffled
casually brushing off
dandruff shoulders

hands never seen
shoulder deep in cookie jars
the real imposters

The one that got away

The one that got away

Memories, of could have been
if just alone in that scene
giggling friend intervene

across crowded train, eyes flirting
butterfly stomach, holiday fling
in the heart, a little sting

last dance so close, so tight
but separate ways in the night
bitter sweet could this been right

tongue stuck, nothing to say
growing distance in the sandy bay
the one that got away

Nothing compares to my wife, ha de Gött!

Light

Light

Evening sun reflecting full spectra of white light. Magenta, Green, Cyan. Shadows fading all the way into black.

An eternal swirling dance by sun and earth at the ballroom of universe. We’re along for the spinn, only hoping to catch those golden moments.

Like dancers fixing the gaze on something still. A snapshot of that exact moment. Keeps us from spinning off, fall over and puke.

Snapshot your life to feel alive, ha de Gött
