Bluebell

Today it was announced that the Small Bluebell (Campanula rotundifolia) was appointed to the floral emblem of Sweden. It has always been my favorite flower so I’m very pleased. It is also called Harebell or Bluebell of Scotland. Hope they don’t feel that we stole it from them. It blooms July to September. Twenty three years ago when I got married to my lovely (she reads the blog) wife, the entire church was decorated with Bluebells.

The picture was taken by me last summer on Killingen island. My son, who passed away seven months ago today, though I was going a bit to nerdy. He took the picture of me that you see below. Also I share a picture of the related Large Bluebell.

Hope you like, subscribe, comment and have nice weekend. Ha de Gött!

Always learn

Always learn

A guiding star in my life has always been learning. A day spent without learning something new, is a day wasted. I have not yet wasted a single day. You learn new things everyday but often don’t realize it. It is a question of keeping an open mind and being curious. Some people see mistakes as a failure and I pity them. I always told my children that it is no use making mistakes if you don’t learn from them.

Sometimes you set out to try and learn something new, and for me it has been photography. I have taken some online courses and got a lot of tips from my father-in-law. Mostly I just clicking away thinking it is only 10 000 hours, or in this case 10 000 pictures, between the amateur and the pro. So I show you some pictures from the same spot taken in early November last year and last weekend, some 1 000 pictures later. What do you think, any progress? For best view go to my site. Old/New.

Brother

Brother

He shivered, from cold or the fact he was scared. Sun disappeared and the light faded fast. In the pale light from the moon the shadows seemed to come alive. The forest sounds that was familiar during the day now started to feel threatening. He felt a shiver down his spine as an owl started to sound its, ho-ho. He hesitated before he snuck his hand in his older brothers hand. Expected him to pull it back and start to ridicule him for being scared. To his surprise and relief his brother took a firm grip with his warm hand.

One hundred word story, I had to sneak in my new friend the owl from yesterday. Hope you like, subscribe and comment. Ha de Gött!
